Norm Lizarralde

I am an ethically-driven insurance professional with 24 years of experience as a State Farm agent and 5 years as a claims professional. It is experience that taught me what the real risks to customers are and how to create an effective package of insurance protection.

In 1999 I established the Lizarralde Insurance Agency, committed to assisting customers to understand the legal and financial risks of everyday life. I understand the value of consistency of staffing, and employs three insurance professionals with a total of over 25 years of experience with the agency. Half of my job, as I see it, is to develop plans to protect my customers against the unexpected so they can live their daily lives without worry. The other half is to leverage their insurance dollars to provide maximum protection while allowing for savings to provide long-term financial goals. In a word, real-world insurance protection that my customers can afford.

I take my commitment to customer service a step further, making the insurance process smooth, seamless, and very easy. I can handle virtually any transaction by telephone, email, or in person, whichever the customer is most comfortable with. My personal touch extends to claims handling, paying out of my office more than 50% of all homeowner claims, a significantly higher percentage than any other area State Farm agent. The customer deals directly with me, at a local level, and receives a check in his/her hand earlier.

Lizarralde Insurance Agency, Inc., offers a full complement of insurance products, but focuses on Car and Home insurance. Norm Lizarralde holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Marketing and Finance from Virginia Tech, as well as 4 major insurance and financial service designations (ChFC, CLU, CPCU, CASL).

I have been married to Julie for 27 years. We have two children Chase, a graduate of NC State currently employed at Duke Hospital, and Bode, a sophomore at Virginia Tech. I am also the proud papa of Luigi, my 12 year old Italian Greyhound.
